Through the sulphurous morning mist, a lone dinghy cuts silently across the glass-flat

sea.

A single lantern, sickly and green, swings from its bow, casting a grotesque shadow across

the water.

There are three hooded figures in there.

They pull oars with mechanical and rhythmic finality.

Between them lies a man blindfolded, gagged, and bound in a heavy hemp rope.

They hoist him upward and load him over the gumwale into the damp air.

Hey everybody, this is Nick here from Dead Letter Bureau, and today we are going to be

playing Pirate Borg, the sinking of Cathagon, written by JBC Perry and illustrated by

Uh this is Jordan from Dead Letter Bureau, currently walking the plank today.

We are going to jump right in.

Below deck, the air is overcrowded with bunks thick, and the stench of cheap rum, stale

sweat, damp wool invades your nose.

You had first watch, and your eyes are still burning from the salt crust when the heavy

metallic thud of boots and sudden sharp commotion overhead cuts through the groaning

ship's timbers.

You four rise together and climb a slick ladder toward the morning light.

As each of you step out into the brine slicked wood of the main deck, the world narrows

and you smell wet gunpowder.

As you come out, each of you, what does the camera see?

Scrags will be the first out into the sun.

His big cavalier hat casting a nice shadow over his scrawny, like almost emaciated looking

body.

And uh he just looks like he's a a bucket of fun, but he's got a nice machete at his side.

Isabel stumps up the short ladder behind Scrags, wearing just an incredibly fine silk

coat.

Woolen trousers, but beneath those trousers are uh two peg legs.

Uh Isabel appears to be maybe fifteen or so, and would look fairly out of place if it

weren't for the tricorn and three flintlock pistols bandoliered across her chest.

He wears a coat long and dragging across the ground, but nothing could cover the majesty

As Babida is majestically announcing his presence and making his way up, you see that this

long cloak is kind of going behind him and down still into the hatch.

And you see it kind of pfft up, back out, before there is a lot of cursing and thump,

zump, as a wiry yellow-toothed man who got his name through no small similarity, uh Jerry

And it takes me a little while in order to get all the way up due to this peg leg that's

definitely not a musket.
